Community Outreach

Small things done with great love will change the world. ~ Steve Sjogren

One little drop into a pool of water impacts its environment over and over. That fact is similar to our philosophy in reaching our community. As we make small, focused efforts to bless the people in our community, we believe that the impact will be exponential. Our desire is not to confront people and make them feel uncomfortable, but to simply tell them God loves them. We want to let them know that we are a safe and loving place for them to come if and when they need us.

Our ongoing outreach projects include: providing dinner for the families at the burn center once a month & giving out free cold drinks once a month at Augusta’s first friday. We also have neighborhood and event outreaches throughout the year.

Empowering the Parent: A Reading, Writing & Study Skills Workshop- 9am- 12noon, Saturday, October 24

We will be offering a seminar in which parents can learn tips on how to help their children study and excel in school. This workshop will be open to the public and we will be promoting it at several local middle & high schools. With the help of skilled volunteers in house, we will be able to offer this service (an estimated $200 minimum tuition per person at a tutoring/learning center ) to our community for free!
